Dear Parents:

In order to begin third grade activities in a successful manner, your child will need the following school supplies:

1. One set of each - addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

flash cards to be kept at home

2. Two or three #2 pencils

3. Scissors

4. Glue or white "school" glue or glue stick

5. Crayons and/or colored pencils

6. Pink school eraser or art gum

7. Metric and standard ruler

8. Loose-leaf paper

9. Zipper pouch to hold supplies (for binder)

10. Two small flexible plastic binders-1" ring, two packages of dividers

11. Homework notebook

12. Four different color highlighters

13. No trapper-keepers or hard-back binders

14. No hard pencil boxes

Keeping in mind the cost of these items, we would suggest you utilize items you may find around the home before making purchases. Please have all items marked with your child's full name.

Orders for homework notebooks may be placed at the Welcome Back Open House on Friday, September 1, 2000, 2:00-3:00 p.m. The Parent Advisory Committee strongly urges the purchase of a homework notebook for your child at a cost of $3.50.
