Chesapeake Council of the Telephone Pioneers of America

The Chesapeake Council of the Telephone Pioneers of America were at Jarrettsville Elementary School on Saturday, May 10, 1997 to paint a twenty-five foot by thirty-five foot color map of the United States of America on the playground hardtop. Mr. Larry Grannas, a Jarrettsville parent, along with Bob Haskin, president of the Chesapeake Council, were joined by many volunteers as they completed the task in less than five hours. The project is sponsored by Lucent Technologies Volunteers and Martin Senour Paint. If your school is interested in participating in such a project get in touch with the Telephone Pioneers of America.



Lucent Technologies Volunteers and the Telephone Pioneers of America are the prime movers in the painting of the maps.




Martin Senour Paints donates all the paints used in the creation of the map of theUnited States.




Volunteers put on the finishing touches to the state of New Mexico.
